Wyoming Machinery Company has been Wyoming's authorized Caterpillar dealer since 1969. Our story started in a small building on 'F' Street in Casper, when we were awarded the Caterpillar sales and service agreement for 16 of Wyoming's 23 counties. On that day, we made a commitment to provide the best support possible for the Caterpillar brand.

We wasted no time in showing our dedication, opening the doors to our new Casper facility in 1976 — where we have stood strong ever since. To serve the rest of the state, we expanded with additional dealerships in Cheyenne, Gillette, and Rock Springs.

In 2012, we purchased Caterpillar's Expanded Mining Business in Gillette. In 2018, we grew that expansion with the opening of Dragline Service Specialties (DSS), headquartered in Casper with full-service facilities in Gillette, Wyoming and Tyler, Texas. DSS provides parts and service support to mining customers throughout the United States, covering every state but Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina.

We live by five core values every day: Safety. Integrity. Commitment. Excellence. Teamwork. In 2014, we were recognized by Caterpillar as number one in Dealer Excellence and have long been recognized as a five-star contamination control dealership. We have embedded 6-SIGMA methodology into our corporate culture, constantly evaluating and improving the products and services we provide.

In 2014 and again in 2019, we were awarded the State of Wyoming Governor's Safety Award for Large Employers, recognizing our dedication to providing a safe work environment. The average tenure for our service technicians — including shop, field, and warehouse — is over 12 years.

In over 50 years, the one thing that hasn't changed is our commitment to our people, our customers, and Wyoming. When we sell equipment, we see it through to the end.
