Grade control technology is no longer optional — it's how jobs get bid, won, and built profitably. This two-day workshop at our Gillette branch will take your operators from curious to certified.

DAY 1 — CAT GRADE CONTROL FUNDAMENTALS:

Morning classroom session covering the Cat Grade ecosystem: how GPS, GNSS base stations, and machine receivers work together. You'll learn the difference between indicate, guide, and full-auto control — and when each mode makes sense.

Afternoon field session on our Gillette demo pad. You'll operate a D6 dozer and 320 excavator equipped with Cat Grade, building a design surface from a loaded USB drive. No experience required — we start from zero.

DAY 2 — VISIONLINK & FLEET MANAGEMENT:

Morning deep-dive into VisionLink — Cat's telematics platform. You'll learn how to set up geofences, monitor fuel consumption, track idle time, and generate utilization reports that justify your equipment spend.

Afternoon session on integrating grade data with VisionLink for real-time production tracking. Your office will see what your operators see — in real time.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND:

Equipment operators, site foremen, fleet managers, and estimators. If you bid work, run a crew, or sit in a cab — this workshop will save you money.

WHAT'S INCLUDED:

All training materials, Cat Grade certification (upon completion), lunch both days, and a 90-day VisionLink trial subscription. Class size limited to 20 for hands-on quality.

PREREQUISITES: None. We teach from the ground up.
